We know that remodeling or adding on to your home is a major investment and it's a difficult decision to make. It can be even worse when extra costs arise during the project. We've heard horror stories from clients about surprise costs the last time they remodeled and we think the process we've developed over the years helps you avoid a shock!
We get firm prices on our materials and from our subcontractors. If kitchen cabinets, countertops and tile are involved, you select everything before we price the job. You purchase your appliances, plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures. This allows you to select exactly what you want within your price range. All the details of the project are addressed prior to the start. Once we're on the job, any additional work you decide to include in the job is priced and written up as a change order. The change order is signed off by you before any work is completed.
On rare occasion, we may encounter additional costs due to unforeseen complications. For example, when digging a foundation, we may hit bedrock or water or perhaps there is an electrical mess behind the walls. We will notify you of any complications and make recommendations with additional costs associated with the course of action required.
Once the job begins, Mark and his crew are there at 8am. They finish by 4pm and clean the job site every day. Mark typically talks with you at some point during the day to keep you abreast of the progress and to answer any questions that may arise. He enjoys having you around and getting to know you while he's working there!
When the job is done, we do a walkthrough with you to ensure you are pleased with the work. We'll take care of anything you feel requires a touchup. Then you can enjoy your new home!
