1950s Bathroom Remodel in Hamden, CT
We were excited to help one of our existing clients breathe new life into her 2nd-floor bathroom in Hamden, CT. Originally a classic 1950s style, this bathroom was charming yet needed some practical updates to suit modern living. Bathroom remodeling is one of our specialty services at Bencar Building Systems!
After our initial visit, our client visited the Bender Showroom in New Haven to select her fixtures and tiles. To create an open feel, she chose a sleek pedestal sink, which not only saves space but also complements the clean, vintage-inspired look she wanted. The tub-to-shower conversion was a must, and she opted for a Swanstone kit with a base and walls - a fantastic grout-free alternative to traditional tile, making it both stylish and easy to maintain.
For the flooring, she selected a beautiful basketweave tile in white with grey dots, a timeless design that ties perfectly with the home's classic feel. We painted the walls in City Loft (SW7631) by Sherwin Williams, a soft, versatile shade that brightened the room and brought everything together.
Once the building permit was approved and we confirmed that all materials were in stock, we scheduled the project. From demotion to final touches, the entire remodel took approximately three weeks to complete.
This bathroom now has the best of both worlds - classic charm with modern convenience. If you're considering a bathroom upgrade, contact us to discuss your vision!
