Kitchen Remodel in Middletown, CT
This Middletown Connecticut couple contacted Bencar Building Systems to discuss a kitchen remodel. They needed space in their kitchen and rarely used the dining room so they were interested in removing the wall between the rooms. When we met, we could see why! Both rooms were on the small side and in the kitchen, they had a large door leading to their garage!
We worked with Daryl Zorn of Bender Showroom in New Haven for the layout to achieve their wishes and reality. He was able to add an island in the kitchen and created space at the end of it for one seat, two if they got cozy! They were happy with that. In addition, the garage door was moved toward the front of the garage to allow for a tall pantry cabinet. This feature was very important to them.
They met with Daryl at Bender and made their selections for the cabinets, countertops, hardware, sink, and faucet selections. This is an important part of our Remodel Process to ensure the homeowner knows what they are getting, and for our crew and trades to know what is being installed.
Once again we used Fabuwood Cabinets in this kitchen! They are well-made cabinets and have a growing selection of door styles and colors. We rarely have a homeowner that turns them down. Their pricing is affordable and they have a great turnaround time.
Their cabinet choice was the Quest cabinets in MetroFrost for the perimeter cabinets and Galaxy Espresso for the island. Both sections have Petal Misterio Quartz which is a very popular quartz design. We love the hardware they selected - Bellwith-Keeler brushed gold pulls!
They switched from a laminate to pre-finished flooring of Praline Maple. The warm color looks great with both cabinet colors.
When we recently met to take pictures of the project, they were still raving about the team of Evan and Rocco who completed the remodel and we don't blame them! They are a great team and really work well together. They really appreciate Evan's steady nature and his communication of what was happening each day on the project.
The project took approximately five weeks to complete from demolition of the existing kitchen to the plumbing installing the faucet.
