Our clients, purchased a condo unit in a historical home in downtown New Haven and shortly after the purchase discovered water flowing from under the kitchen floor and out into the patio. After the water was stopped and the kitchen torn apart it was discovered a pipe under the floor was leaking for quite a long time and it finally found its way outside. They also discovered that below the subfloor was dirt! A unique problem was three of the walls of the kitchen were brick because long ago the area was a courtyard. We poured a concrete slab and installed a new subfloor and worked with the plumber and electrician to run the pipes and wiring in a more logical manner. Jennifer and Geremy had hardwood floor installed to match the rest of the house and our remodeling pros installed Fabuwood cabinets from Bender Showrooms in New Haven. The counter is a honed marble from Discover Marble and Granite in Wallingford and Jennifer found a beautiful Moroccan tile through Mosaic House in New York.
