We received a call from the homeowner interested in remodeling his kitchen. He and his young family had been in their home for 2-1/2 years and although the kitchen was a newer kitchen, they were interested in lighter cabinets and granite. She had her eye on a 6 burner gas stove!
We met with them and talked about their likes and dislikes and scheduled our next visit with the kitchen designer from Bender Showrooms in New Haven as we were sitting at our meeting. At this meeting, the designer took measurements and listened to what they were looking for (the 6 burner gas stove, straightening out the island) so he could draw up a design for the kitchen. We also talk about existing and proposed lighting and any other features they are interested in.
Once the Kitchen design was approved, the homeowners went to Bender to make cabinet and granite selections as well as selecting their sink and faucet.
From there it was a matter of obtaining pricing from our electrician, plumber, and the final cabinet, granite and fixtures prices. We present the contract and it was within their budget and they were ready to sign.
The homeowners selected Siteline cabinets with a Swanson door style in the color Aspen. This cabinet line gave them a little more flexibility for the cabinets as well as a matching stove hood. The granite is of Bahamas White with a 1” pencil edge. They went with a tile backsplash of 3”x6” subway tile in Pearl.
